SOLD - Harmony Company 12X28 vintage bass drum
The Harmony Drum Company was established in Chicago in 1892 by William Schultz, who had been a foreman at Lyon & Healy. The shell of this vintage 12x28 Harmony Company bass drum was made between 1905,the date on the patents listed on the label, and 1910, the date handwritten inside the shell (W. E. Patrick Jr, Newport RI, Sept 1910). We had the 2 ply birds-eye shell and the hoops, which we believe are original to the shell, in our collection, and put the drum back together with other vintage hardware and goatskin heads. There are 2 places where small holes in the hoop were likely for cymbal mounted, and 2 offset carry hooks.
