We are a second-generation family business with an unbroken tradition of drum making and repair since the 1950s, serving everything from 18th-century antiques to modern drums, with a special focus on rope tension and vintage drums.

From our beginnings in Pat Cooperman’s basement in Mt. Vernon NY, through our years in Centerbrook CT, and today, here at our mill in southern Vermont, we have always welcomed everyone to join us in an ongoing conversation about the past, present, and future of drums and drumming.

We steam bend our solid single ply hoops and shells here in our Vermont shop from locally sourced hardwoods, in both standard and custom sizes.
