16x12 Civil War model SHOP DRUM

Jim, our rope tension drum maker, has found that the best part of being semi-retired is that he can enjoy making up a new drum or fixing up a "shop drum" from time to time on his own schedule. "Shop drums" may have made for our rental stock or for display, or may be newly made, and are usually sold at a discount.

This drum is made with our solid one ply ash shell, size 16" dia. x 12" deep. The shell is stained with an oak color; the hoops are stained a dark brown/red mahogany. The ears are Civil War tab style natural leather, the rope hemp, the carry is a D ring with leather fittings. The gut is imported British natural snare gut; the heads are imported goatskin.
