5/16" Bass Counterhoop, WITH ROPE HOLES, 18" - 28"
We steam bend and carefully dimension our one-ply counterhoops here at our Vermont shop using local hard maple. This listing is for bass drum counterhoops made with no holes.
-
The dimensions of these standard bass drum counterhoops are 1 7/8" high x 5/16" thick, for use with rope hoops or rod claws, or to match existing thinner counterhoops. Be sure to look closely at the thickness of the hoop you need and let us know if you need a custom size or have any questions about our standard sizes.Â
- We also offer bass counterhoops in standard 3/8" thickness These hoops are listed separately.Â
- The standard number of holes are 10 for 18", 12 for 20" through 26", and 14 for 28".
- Many times an antique or vintage drum will need to have the counterhoop formed directly on the shell because the shell is out of round or of an unusual diameter. You can send the shell (or the entire drum) to us to have the counterhoop sized. But if you feel comfortable taking on the project, you can purchase unglued counterhoops to fit and glue the counterhoop yourself on your shell - those unglued hoops are listed separately.
