Flesh hoops for 20" - 28" shells
We dimension cut and steam bend our one-ply flesh hoops here at our Vermont shop.
- The thickness of your counterhoop determines the thickness needed for your flesh hoop - the measurements should match closely.
- Standard Cooperman counterhoops use 5/8" high x 3/8" thick flesh hoops for 14" through 18". We also offer 5/16" thick flesh hoops for thinner counterhoops.
- Flesh hoops for die cast/flange hoops are listed separately.
- Custom thicknesses can be special ordered, most often at no additional charge but some sizes will have a 25% surcharge - call or email with your information.
- These flesh hoops are sized for standard diameter drums.
Many times an antique or vintage drum will need to have the flesh hoop formed directly on the shell because the shell is out of round or of an unusual diameter. You can send the shell (or the entire drum) to us to have the flesh hoop sized. But if you feel comfortable taking on the project, you can purchase unglued flesh hoops to fit and glue the flesh hoop yourself on your shell - those unglued hoops are listed separately.
