Rope Slides, Polished and Unpolished, for Counterhoops

These small brass "slides" fit over your counterhoop atop each rope hole, protecting the hoop and its finish from damage caused by the rope as it passes at high tension over the edge of the counterhoop. These are most often used on British style regimental drums.

The unpolished slides are the most economical choice, since each drum typically requires 16 to 20 slides. You can polish these with household brass polish to a matte finish. We also offer the slides polished to a shine and lacquered, although not completely free of imperfections in the finish. Nails are included.
